Are We Living On an Emergency Exit Mode?

When you are caught in the drama of the daily life, have you noticed if you're on an emergency exit mode? Unable to spare any time to think, ending up doing the first thing essential and exit the situation or decision?

Though, that might help with the short term emergencies, but is it how life's led? Maybe not!

For, life is led on purpose, with intention, needing contemplation every now and then, with disciplined routine of our self-orchestrated life style, for the way of living the day, that ultimately defines how we lead our lives.

Don’t Rush through Life like an Emergency Exit.. it’s Life..

Live it with Intention for the Purpose that Fuels your Fire!

Effortless Equanimity (Sahaj Samadhi) - Deeper Than The Deepest Rest

How many times have you realized that you are still tired despite the plenty hours of sleep? “If only I can really relax and rest for a while” you thought. Is it that tough? Is sleep the answer? While some of us do have the gift of sound sleep, many of us don’t. And without the peaceful, stress-free state of mind and body, we get into troubles in our day to day lives, and end up under-performing in our ventures.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could really get deeper than the deepest rest? Does it sound Mysterious? Magical? Friends, we’re talking about nothing other than Meditation. Did you know that it is also known as Effortless Equanimity. As the name suggests, it is the “effortless achievement of calmness and composure of the mind, especially in a difficult situation”. Sounds tough? Well, hang on. It’s not.

When done the right way, you’ll realize it’s truly effortless. What’s the right way you ask? It’s where you allow your mind to wander into thoughts while gently steering it back. To where? To your breath. That’s it.

The mind may wander off again into various other connected or random thoughts, even before you become truly aware of it. The trick is to acknowledge that it did wander off to thoughts, and then gently focus it back to the breath again. Getting thoughts during meditation indicates that you’re doing it right. Physical sensations and thoughts during meditation are, in fact, a by-product of meditation.

Doesn’t sound that tough now, does it? Did you know that few minutes of meditation is equivalent to a few hours of sound sleep?

Our organization had organized a workshop of Effortless Equanimity or "Sahaj Samadhi" for 3 days in the June of last year, which was conducted in-house by Apex (Art of Living corporate partner). It was there that we had this enlightening and enriching experience on the “easiest self-investment with manifold benefits”.

We learnt that it is via Meditation that we can manage the mind, which in turn helps us in managing the rest. Eventually with regular practice, it steers us towards being more receptive and responsive. While de-stressing our mind, it also eradicates the negative physical and mental manifestations that stress has on us, which we rarely realize in time.

What I quoted above from our leanings from the workshop is just the tip of the iceberg. There’s more to it. For some sneak peek into the experience, do check out: Effortless Equanimity @ Western Digital - YouTube

Time Vs. Money

"Remember that Money can come as quickly as it goes,

but time, once it is gone, never comes back."

This Is What We Are Like, Humans..

Opportunities and facilities are what we people mourn about not having…always. But we do seldom realize that we are actually surrounded by a plenty of ‘em… All we have to do is, see through them with faith and turn it in favor…
We, human beings, just mourn about the things we don’t have… that’s all we do… But do we cherish the unbound treasure we have…?? No… we seldom do that, and that’s where we lack. That’s so unfortunate of us that we deprive and retreat ourselves from the joy and happiness we deserve, of which others just dream and crave… It’s true, we may not have all the facilities and all that we desire. But that doesn’t mean we have none. What actually makes us sad is the fact that we may not have something which others posses… we compare… There’s no point in crying about the things we don’t have or get while neglecting the ones we posses due to which, in turn, we lose many opportunities.
I don’t mean, we shouldn’t dream or desire for things we don’t have ‘cause that’s the way we people develop for the better. What I actually mean is that we shouldn’t be ignorant of the ones we have but realize and cherish them while working for the ones we desire.

Music...the essence of life!

Music is one of the ways people use to express their feelings whether of Joy, Grief, Fun or anything. Simply saying it is of course the easiest way but music emphasizes and adds a bit more sense to what we want to say.

Since the beginning of Human generation Songs have been of most important in each and every phase of the cultures. Even Histories reveal it, some of which still exist in the form of Prayers, Shlokas, Mantras and Ragas to name a few.

Singing not only helps us in expressing our feelings but also is a source of entertainment now-a-days. Today’s fast pace of life emerges new worries and tensions for the people. Music plays a key role in eradicating those.

Even Rhymes or Poems that small children recite are actually Sung which helps them learn faster.

These are only a few to mention about Music. This has not only aroused an interest in Music but also a keen desire to be able to sing. There are many people who can catch songs easily and sing them. Some can even compose. Music is a fine art which one inculcates slowly with regular practice. It's a divine Odyssey in which the fun, joy and eternal happiness increases as each phase passes by.
